  • Intro/welcome and Happy New Year - Click HERE for New Year resources
  • Anthony and Greg discuss their thoughts on the Christmas season, time, teamwork and thanks (Article on saying thanks)
  • Teaser of upcoming Copyright episode
  • Listener Questions
  1. Please talk about Senior Pastors interrupting technical run-throughs to make last minute changes. My volunteers would have a tough time saying “no” to the Senior Pastor at critical times, but as Technical Arts Director, I would not. There are other dynamics at work here, but I wanted to get some thoughts on run-throughs, who runs them at different church size levels and who has the last word?

  • Anthony and Greg discuss run-throughs and tips on communication between Senior Pastor and worship or tech team members
  • Interview with Shawn Wood, Communications Pastor at Seacoast Church
  1. Shawn shares how long he’s been at Seacoast and what he oversees
  2. Shawn discusses Seacoast’s venues and satellite campuses and how they came about
  3. “Most great ideas come out of necessity.”
  4. Shawn discusses how central support functions at Seacoast
  5. “Once you have over 3 or 4 campuses, central support is crucial for communication.”
  6. Don’t be afraid to pick up the phone and call someone to communication info
  7. “I want to lead teams and see lives changed.”
  8. “Take heart over talent every time” - volunteers and staff
  9. Discussion on what’s “good enough”. The technology should not distract.
  10. Shawn’s blog: www.shawnsblogspot.com
